Tanya Burrage – Owner & General Manager

Tanya is passionate about providing home-based childcare solutions to Kiwi families. In 2006 she started Dream Au Pair (with a toddler and baby twin boys) and in 2017 she bought Kiwi Oz Nannies. Tanya is a Chartered Accountant with extensive corporate experience in human resources and recruitment. Tanya has travelled extensively and is a keen sailor.

Placement Consultants

Sarah Worn – Placement Manager

Sarah joined the Dream Au Pair Team in 2010 helping families fulfill their childcare needs combining flexibility and a cultural exchange experience through our Au Pair programme. As the Placement Manager, Sarah saw the exciting opportunity when KiwiOz came on board in being able to offer families the ability to place both Nannies and Au Pairs catering for individual needs. Sarah and her team are responsible for matching our Nannies and Au Pairs with their Families as well as providing our extensive ongoing support services.

Jill Clegg - Placement Consultant

Jill has over 10 years of experience in corporate recruitment and loves the process of finding the right childcare option to match with her families. She emigrated from South Africa with her family in January 2015 and with 4 children, she understands first-hand how busy life is with kids and how Au Pairs and Nannies can help.

Daniel Tyrrell - Placement Consultant

Daniel has experience in customer service spans more than 10 years. He wanted to become part of the Dream Au Pair Team because of our values as a business and he loves the process of finding the right childcare solution for our Families. Daniel also has extensive experience in mentoring young people, which will benefit Au Pairs and Nannies as they settle into their new roles.

Faye Rillstone - Placement Consultant

Faye completed her Bachelor in Performing Arts in 2013. After living in Australia for the last 2 years, she returned to pursue her passion in helping people using her knowledge and experience gained within NZ and Australia. Faye grew up having Nannies, so she is well aware of how much of an important influence they play in children’s lives and how they help supporting busy Families. She looks forward to helping our Families find the perfect childcare solution for their lifestyle, both in short term and long term placements.

Caitlin Manning – Placement Consultant

Caitlin has over 8 years of experience in childcare as a Nanny. As well as a background in Office Administration and Personal Training. With a considerable amount of Work experience in London, Singapore, France, and New Zealand, Caitlin will be utilizing her knowledge to ensure that trusting relationships are built with our Nannies and that the needs of our Families are understood and provided with the premium support deserved.

Sophie Cleaver – Maternity leave

Sophie was living and working in London in the KiwiOz Nannies office and joined Auckland office in September 2016. Before making the move to the placement team Sophie worked as an ECE teacher and a Nanny in NZ, London and Europe. Sophie understands first hand how a Nanny improved a busy family lifestyle. Sophie enjoys spending time with family and friends (especially her niece and nephews and her son), playing sports and spending time outdoors. She is loves working with Auckland and Wellington based families and helping them in their search for a fabulous Nanny.

Ottalie Day – Candidate Consultant

Ottalie has 8 years’ experience in customer service. She was previously an Au Pair in Australia and has been a Nanny in New Zealand with Kiwi Oz Nannies so knows first-hand how to support our candidates and ensure they have a great placement with our Families. Originally from England, Ottalie likes to spend her spare time exploring this beautiful country.

Visiting Teachers

Mandy Dobson – Education Manager - Nationwide

Mandy holds a Bachelor in Teaching Early Childhood Education and is an experienced Education Manager with several years teaching experience in both centre and home based settings. Mandy is a firm supporter of education in partnership with a child's family and Whanau. Mandy is originally from England and came to New Zealand many years ago with her husband. She is mum to two terrific teenage boys and an avid concert goer.

Lynette Birkin – Senior Visiting Teacher - Auckland

Lynette has been working in the early childhood sector for 30+ years, with the last 12 years being in the home-based sector and the previous year’s managing early childhood centres and some years working as a nanny whilst her children were small. She holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education as well as having full teacher’s registration and is also holding a current 1st aid certificate. Lynette has a real passion for working with children and caregivers and thoroughly enjoys spending time sharing her knowledge and experience in supporting others in their roles. Lynette also enjoys planning and organising events for children and their caregivers to attend and enjoys seeing children’s wonder and excitement as they make their own discoveries as they investigate the environment they live in. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling overseas and exploring more of the world with her husband.

Emily Skinner – Visiting Teacher - Auckland

Emily joined the KiwiOz team in May 2017, as the North shore visiting teacher. She began her teaching Career in 2010, when she started working at an early childhood centre. In 2014, she completed her Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education with the New Zealand Tertiary College and she holds a full teacher registration. She has over 10 years of experience working with children from babies to pre-schoolers. Emily believes it is so rewarding to work with children and be a positive role model, to inspire them, to develop and grow to their full potential. In her spare time, Emily loves to spend time with her family and baking up a storm in the kitchen.

Verity Payne – Visiting Teacher - Auckland

Verity Payne, who you can call Vee, discovered her love for teaching back in 2010 when she began working in an Early Childhood Centre on the North Shore. She then went onto complete a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) at Unitec in 2014 before becoming a fully registered teacher. Verity has spent her recent years working as a teacher in the ECE sector at a rural centre. Verity has experience working with children from babies to preschoolers and has a passion for providing all children with equal learning opportunities and has a love for the outdoors.

Amanda Watson – Visiting Teacher - Auckland

Amanda has been working in the early childhood sector for over 24 years. She has worked in centres for the majority of this time. After completing her Certificate in early childhood, she ventured overseas for a year and worked as a nanny whilst there. On her return, she completed her Diploma of Teaching ECE. The following 20 years she moved up from a teacher to Supervise then Manager in a specific under 2 centre in Birkenhead. Amanda has a passion for infants and toddlers and enjoys the special qualities of this specific age group. Amanda lives in Forrest Hill with her husband and 2 boys.

Robyn Plaine – Maternity Leave

Robyn first came to KiwiOz Nannies when she was looking for a nanny position while studying her Bachelor of Education. She now works for us as a Visiting Teacher, as part of our Dream Education Programme where her skills in teaching and nanny support are invaluable. Robyn began her career in marketing and soon moved into early childhood completing a Bachelor of Education. After a few years of teaching Robyn took the opportunity to travel overseas and nanny for a family in Europe. Since returning to NZ Robyn has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational leadership and has most recently been working in the ECE sector in a forest kindy. Outside of work Robyn loves spending time outdoors and exploring our beautiful country with family and friends.

Shiree Meikle – Visiting Teacher - Auckland

Shiree has worked in early childhood education since 1995. She is an enthusiastic and passionate teacher, who believes strongly in the importance of providing safe and stimulating environments for young children. Together with her husband, she has 3 wonderfully, wild and beautiful children. They have had a raft of pets, but their current kitty is a lilac Tonkinese named Lily. Shiree loves fashion, art, food, and Instagram! Her family are keen water skiers and never miss a chance to explore the beautiful country.

Melissa Cole

Melissa Cole – Visiting Teacher - Auckland

Melissa Cole, who you can call Mell for short, has been working in the early childhood education sector since 2009. She has experience with all age groups of children under six years old. Mell holds a Bachelor of teaching in Early Childhood Education and is a fully registered teacher. She enjoys exploring music and movement, Te Reo, whole body physical movement, the natural environment and storytelling with children. She loves watching children explore and interact with the natural environment and watching them explore their creativity and imagination while being immersed in nature, along with physical movement. She also enjoys supporting children’s interaction and engagement with music. Mell is from west Auckland and lives there with her husband and son and loves spending days at the west coast beaches or bush walking through the Waitakere ranges with her family.

Maree Lawn – Visiting Teacher - Waikato

Over the past 30 years, Maree has worked in many varied and interesting teaching positions with children. Every experience and environment has taught her new things about children and changed some of the things that she learnt and believed in, in her earlier years. Maree lives in Te Awamutu with her family – her husband Mark, daughter Holly and son, Josh. Her life has revolved around family and children since she graduated from the University of Waikato in 1996 with her Diploma of Teaching ECE. From then to now Maree worked in Homebased, an Under 2’s Centre, an Over 2’s Centre, Kindergarten and a Community Preschool. Children have taught her so much about herself and she believes they will continue to, for the rest of her life.

Keryn Parkes KiwiOz Nannies

Keryn Parkes – Visiting Teacher - Wellington

Keryn first came to KiwiOz Nannies after working as a teacher in early childhood centres for 10 years, where she progressed her way into roles of
greater responsibility to become centre director. After her first babysitting job, Keryn always knew that she would have a career working with children, going on to work as a nanny both in rural communities and overseas before moving into early childhood to complete a Diploma of Teaching (ECE). Born in Nelson Keryn has made Wellington her home since 2008 with her husband Zair. Outside of work Keryn loves socialising with friends and family, going for bush
walks and creating memorable travel experiences both in New Zealand and around the world.

Finance & Admin Team

Martin Mai – Finance Manager

Martin has managed the financials for Dream Au Pair for over 8 years. Martin is responsible for our general accounting functions and is the Payroll expert. He manages the Dream Education Programme’s enrolments and time-sheets as well as 20 hours ECE, WINZ and OSCAR subsidies. He is here to help you with the financial aspects of employing a Nanny or Au Pair. Martin is originally from Canton in China and has lived in New Zealand for over 10 years with his wife and two children.

Lauren Arendse – Payroll & Accounts Administrator

After completing a diploma in accounting and payroll administration, Lauren now calls Kiwioz Nannies her second home. She is originally from South Africa and has resided in Auckland for over 12 years. Lauren met her amazing husband in New Zealand and they now have 2 bubbly little boys, who keep them on their toes, so she knows first hand how busy family life gets with a full time job.

Rosie – Office Dog

Rosie is our office dog. She is an integral part of the team as she brightens up everyone's day and is always ready to play or curl up on your lap and take a nap.
